Low emission CD circuit

Solid state capacitor discharge ignition systems increase combustion efficiency by increasing spark duration. For engines with eight cylinders, the average CD system is from 180 to 300. S increases to 600 ps at less than 4000 rpm, and the discharge lasts for one cycle or 300 pts because the higher the speed, the shorter the power cycle. The circuit uses the 555 timer as the 2kHz oscillator and Q1-Q3 provides the driver to Q4-Q5.
