US recalls Chinese-made embedded energy-saving emergency lights

On September 23, 2008, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and Gotham Lighting Corporation jointly announced a voluntary recall of the Gotham embedded energy-saving emergency lights produced in China.

The recalled items are embedded energy-saving emergency lights and optional backup power supplies sold with them. The emergency light can be embedded in the ceiling. The production date is from November 1, 2007 to July 31, 2008. The sales time is from November 2007 to July 2008. The unit price is 250-350 USD/set.

The number of recalled goods was about 30,000 sets. The reason for the recall is that there is a program error in the relay equipped with the power supply for the emergency light, which may cause the emergency light to be unilluminated in an emergency. Currently, Gotham Lighting has not received any incident reports.

To this end, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends that consumers immediately check the recalled emergency lights and contact Gotham Lighting for a free repair.

China's lighting industry will increase pressure in the second half of the year to 1-6 months [total value of production and sales] [customs export value] [product output] [regional output]
[July production and sales report] [Existing analysis of January-August]
