Intel, which has been the main business for decades for personal computers, is looking to change its business direction.
Now Intel is more interested in projects such as driverless cars, VR/AR glasses and artificial intelligence. This is the information that Intel wants to disclose to the public at the Intel Developer Conference starting this Tuesday.
In previous years, at the Intel Developer Conference, participants were expecting new PC processors. This year, they will see drones, robots, and VR and AR head-ups that they can try on. For Intel, this is not an easy change. Starting in April of this year, the company dismissed 12,000 people in total for restructuring.
According to foreign media, Intel will demonstrate VR and AR products developed independently or with partners at the developer conference. Or will exhibit the Intel version of HoloLens, a pair of Remote EyeSight glasses that can be used for remote collaboration.
In addition, Intel will also demonstrate their RealSense 3D camera, which can recognize objects and measure distances, just like Microsoft's hungry Kinect, and it also enables posture tracking.
