During the operation of the diesel engine, the cyclic fuel supply cannot be automatically adjusted with the change of the load, resulting in a high and low speed, and a failure to operate stably, commonly known as "carriage" or "pushing the car." In the event of such a failure, the light diesel engine cannot work normally, reducing the operating efficiency and the quality of the work; the heavy one may cause the diesel engine to stop when the load is heavy. First, the governor failure

1. The spring of the speed regulation spring is weakened. Insufficient spring force will reduce the speed regulation sensitivity of the governor, and the stability range of the diesel engine will increase, fluctuating. The speed control spring should be replaced at this time.

2. The oil pump oil adjustment arm and the speed control fork groove, the drive plate and the tapered surface of the thrust plate are too large, which will cause the governor to lag behind, resulting in “carriage”. At this point, the worn parts should be replaced to restore the normal fit clearance.

3. The internal lubrication of the governor is poor or the oil in the governor is too dirty, too thick or the surface of the moving parts is damaged, causing the movement of the moving parts to be blocked, and the speed regulation is delayed, resulting in unstable diesel engine speed. The method of elimination is to clean the inside of the governor with diesel, replace the oil in the governor, and repair or replace the damaged parts.

Second, the oil circuit failure

1. The low-pressure oil circuit is blocked and the oil supply is not smooth. The elimination method is to clean and unblock the low pressure oil circuit.

2. Insufficient fuel supply due to insufficient fuel in the fuel tank or blockage of the vent hole of the fuel tank cap. Eliminate the fuel and clear the fuel tank cover vent.

3. The tubing is cracked and the pipe joint is loose, causing the low pressure oil passage to enter the air. In addition, the wear of the multi-cylinder diesel engine hand pump is also likely to cause the oil passage to enter the air. The troubleshooting method is to replace the oil pipe and the hand pump and tighten the pipe joint.

4. The sealing performance of the fuel injection valve of the fuel injection pump is deteriorated or the positioning screw is loose. Remedy: Grind the oil valve and tighten the set screw.

5. The injector is unstable. Remedy: Replace the injector needle valve.

Third, the fuel injection pump failure

The plunger pair, the outlet valve pair and the sub-pump roller of the multi-cylinder diesel engine cause the oil supply pressure of each cylinder to be inconsistent, and improper adjustment of the fuel injection pump may cause the oil supply quantity to be inconsistent. At this time, it should be readjusted on the test bench. In addition, if a cylinder cylinder gasket of a multi-cylinder diesel engine is burnt or the valve seal is not good, and the piston ring is excessively worn, etc., the cylinder may be poorly compressed or not operated, and the diesel engine speed may be unstable. The solution is to replace the cylinder head gasket, piston ring and grinding valve.
