When the electronic tag storing the EPC code passes through the reader's sensing area, the product's EPC code will be automatically captured by the reader/writer so as to achieve automatic EPC information collection. The collected data will be further processed by the host computer's information collection software. , Such as data proofreading, data filtering, data integrity checking, etc. These sorted data can be used by the upper application management system.
PML Information Server: The PML (Physical Markup Language) information server is established and maintained by the product manufacturer. They code the product according to the pre-defined principles and use the standard XML to describe the detailed information of the product. The role of the PML server in the Internet of Things lies in providing a description of the original product information in a common format, facilitating access by other nodes.
Product Name Server (ONS): The ONS (Object Name Service) establishes a connection between each information collection node and the PML information server to implement mapping from the product EPC code to the product PML description information.
Application management system: The application management system acquires product EPC information through an interface with information acquisition software (such as Savant), and finds the product's PML information server through ONS to obtain product detailed information to implement such as inventory management and product path tracking. And other application features.
