Display chip

The display chip is the core chip of the graphics card. Its performance directly determines the performance of the graphics card. Its main task is to process the video information input by the system and perform construction and rendering. Displaying the performance of the main chip directly determines the performance of the display card. Different display chips, whether from the internal structure or its performance, there are differences, and the price difference is also very large. The position of the display chip in the video card is equivalent to the status of the CPU in the computer and is the core of the entire video card. Because of the complexity of the display chip, only manufacturers such as NVIDIA, ATI, SIS, and 3DLabs currently design and manufacture display chips. Home entertainment graphics cards use a single-chip design of the display chip, and in some professional workstation graphics cards use a combination of multiple display chips.
