On the afternoon of December 27th, “2017 CHINA VR New Image Exhibition and 2nd China VR New Image Award Ceremony†was held at the Beijing Film Academy and 16 awards were awarded.
The event was jointly organized by the Digital Media Academy of Beijing Film Academy and China VR News Lab. The new media research institute of the Communication University of China, the news of the view, and the VR Wormhole Network were organized by Pico and Detu Network.
The site showcased the best VR video content of the year, awarded relevant awards for encouragement, and invited industry big coffee to share experience in film and television content shooting.
The purpose of the "China VR New Image Award" is: "To discover, encourage and support film and television works recorded and created in VR, as well as Chinese contemporary VR image creators who are concerned about social changes and have extraordinary artistic creativity. VR video works and creators' awards to support the prosperity and development of contemporary VR film and television culture in China."
The awards for this event and contest are divided into documentary VR videos and film and television VR videos. The documentary includes VR news and VR documentaries. The film and television category includes VR movies, VR animations and VR advertisements.
The 2nd China VR New Image Awards pays more attention to the diversity and professionalism of the works. Together with the CHINA VR news laboratory and video platform, the works are solicited. A total of 487 works are registered for entry. After screening by the organizing committee, 14 panoramic news And 36 finalists for VR documentaries/videos.
These 50 works were judged by the "China VR New Image Awards Selection Committee" composed of well-known artists, curators, news media, and VR video platforms of film and television universities. They competed for 13 individual awards and "Best University Student VR Film Awards" and " "Best VO News Industry Contribution Award" and "Judges' Annual Award" are the three jury awards.
On the day of the award, the industry’s famous VR content production team, media representatives, well-known companies, VR investors and others gathered together.
